You can charge the power station in your car and bring it back to the apartment. This might put you over your budget by 20% depending on what you buy, but it's a lot more flexible allowing you to power multiple different devices coming with 120V plugs and USB.

If you're willing to spend $100 on a fan or a couple of fans, I'd suggest a lithium ion portable power station and a regular floor fan or two. You can get a bigger USB fan to run it "off grid". It gets humid where I am, so it wouldn't work for me that well. You can buy one or make your own (as seen here: ). If you live in a dry climate, and not a humid one, a swamp cooler can work great.

Insulate the windows as well to make sure no hot air seeps in and no cold air escapes. You can use them to keep your fridge and freeze cold for longer or spare one or two to help cool you/the room off (just be careful if you want to apply a pack or jug directly to your skin).īlock off any rooms you aren't going to use and/or the hottest rooms, if possible.
